Olivine sand is a natural magnesium iron silicate mineral preferred in foundry and refractory applications due to its high temperature resistance and low thermal expansion. Its high purity and chemical stability make it ideal for use as moulding sand in steel and iron casting processes. It is also used as a filler in refractory mortars and for post-casting sandblasting operations.
